If you live in Melbourne there is a great free event occurring on the 17th of April – SPORTACULAR – at Elsternwick Park (Brighton)! This event is for families and children with disabilities so that they can learn about sporting clubs, as well as engage in interactive fun activities.
Mike Rolls, one of our amazing Peer Support Volunteers, will be presenting on the day. Mike developed Meningococcal disease when he was a teenager, which led to bi-lateral leg amputations as well as some finger amputations. Mike is a great advocate for children with limb differences and is also a great support to parents!
